Willow

Willow made a drawing.
She drew down her long blond hair
And cast its pieces into the stream below.

Water currents pushed the fibers
To the bank of sand and stone.
Earthen perimeter traced in gold.

The color of sunshine cuts a clear line
Around a dark, sloshing pool,
Reflecting silver sky overhead.
