Venus – Morningstar Returns

Dawn blushes sanguine.

The swollen, blood-engorged Sun rises

With lust for the return of the Lady,

Venus-Morningstar.

Forty nights ago,

Venus-Eveningstar followed the Sun

To the end of the world.

There She descended to the Great Below.

She discarded the adornments of Her authority,

Strode backward through Hell,

And danced a dizzying ocho atrás,

Led by the Unseen King.

The “Great Queen of the Horizon

And the Zenith”

Returns to the Great Above.

Pulsing celestial diamond

Winking at Her solar lover,

Who She now precedes.

Black night thins,

Becomes transparent.

The sky turns to apricot flesh.

Venus crowns the Heavens,

Wearing only golden sunlight.

As the Sun advances and crests

His brilliance undresses Her.

Venus, naked, disappears.

Invisibility does not diminish Her allure.
