Seven Weeks

At seven weeks you sent a sign,
Two orange beauties fluttered around me
Kissing late summer blooms.

I stopped and studied you and your companion,
In butterfly forms,
Delighting in Love’s reunion.

It brought to mind the photo
Of you looking into infinity,
Showing me something magical,
A butterfly resting on the tip of your finger.

Seven weeks ago
I whispered in your ear
“It’s time for you to go
And show me all the miracles
You know are possible,
From the other side”
